We are off today to Bressingham in Norfolk to deliver the two dogs to my brother David. Fletcher and Floyd will stay with 'uncle' Dave and 'cousin' Bentley until Sunday when we will release Bruv from the onerous task of looking after three energetic Labradors instead of just his one.
Not having the boys for a few days will mean that we can concentrate on getting some packing done ready for our move onto Caxton. On Thursday morning we will be up a 04.00 and out at 05.00 to get to the Barn Owl workshop to see Caxton craned onto a lorry ready for her journey to Stourport and the launch providing of course that the River Severn doesn't get red boarded!

I can imagine how you must be feeling. I have everything possible crossed for you that nothing gets in the way.
I hope you have a wonderful launch and first night on board. Nothing beats it whether brand new boat or previously loved.
OOhh er Lesley - have you got butterflies in your tummy yet??
We're keeping everything crossed that the river stays down.

Your galley looks beautiful. I bet it doesn't remain clutter free for long!
The Severn? That'll test the engine! I trust you'll have an anchor + chain + rope (I think one of these is called a "warp" but I can't remember which one) attached to the boat!
Hope all goes well on Thursday.
Anj, Pip, Halfie,
I kind of feel numb at the moment, it doesn't seem real.
Caxton will only be 20 mins cruise from the Stourport basin and we will be coming UP stream to the lock when we head back towards Brinklow the following week.
Bobcat, You're right, the galley looks unnaturally pristine, BUT NOT FOR LONG!
Thanks for all your good wishes!
It all looks really fab. The very best of luck on Thursday. Enjoy!
