Wendover Arm, well worth a visit...

We spent last weekend on moored at the end of the newly restored Wendover Arm, a quiet and peaceful spot and only twenty minutes walk from Tring town centre. On the Sunday we went and explored stage two of the restoration of this canal.

Two new bridges, as above, have been built to take Public Footpaths over the cut.

A restored section that has been partly watered.
Here is a section that still has water and will been dredged and cleared in stage three of the restoration.

Floyd was delighted to find water again and demonstrated his 'Tom Daley' technique.
This terrible photo was of a red kite that was hunting in an adjacent field.
Little Tring Bridge above was completely rebuilt in the style of the old bridges at a cost on in excess of £200k.

Critical Point heading back to the GU on Monday morning.

So glad that you enjoyed the Wendover and thanks for posting the great photos of the next section to be restored. As you say, well worth a visit and a bit of an extended exploration.....
