A Short Cruise

Having recovered from the little lavatorial problem quicker than we anticipated we upped sticks at lunch time on Saturday and headed out of Barrow-upon-Soar north towards Loughborough. The heavy rain we had been expecting had not materialised and the River Soar was still navigable so we took advantage and slipped away through Barrow Deep Lock and Pillings Flood Lock a mere two miles and moored in the countryside at Bridge 34 just south of Loughborough.
