Bridge-Hopping

Caxton on the water point at Calcutt this morning, this afternnon and this evening - yes it WAS that slow!

We are now bridge-hopping having had a change of plans about going into Braunston this coming weekend.  I had just posted a blog entry when Himself decided to rethink our schedule.  He didn't fancy being in amongst the multitudes that will be enjoying Braunston this weekend so we have found a rather attractive bridge, with a space for a car, and moored up.

Having disembarked the dogs and I at Napton Junction Joe sails off past Wigrams Turn Marina towards Bridge 102 and I head for Napton to recover the car.
Our mooring until Monday.

Open countryside, a glimpse of the nearest neighbour and the bridge we are hopping on in the distance.

Folks, the Olive Branch in Flecknoe is very friendly, also very good beery and foody.
And Northamptonshire skittles to be played!

I have always found the water point at the top of Calcutt quite good. I wonder what's happened to it.
Reference the Bridge Hoping, we may pass you tomorrow night or Saturday morning depending on the state of Harnser following the freeze
