Gypsy Rover comes a calling

Last Sunday Dot and Derek of the famous Nb. Gypsy Rover came to visit.  The plan was to enjoy a BBQ but though a very warm day the wind was somewhat brisk and the barbie couldn't cope. We managed to produce a meal, and eat it outside, but we all headed for the interior of Caxton for the dessert - it was that or see our guests blown away.

Send us your breeze (thought of saying your wind but that would be unwise with the greyhounds on board already!). It's murderously hot in Barking though we cooled off nicely on the tidal Thames to get here!

We're being baked alive now - hope it's a bit cooler where you are.....

Hi, I have been playing with the idea for a long time, of painting the interior of Tickety Boo. I have never been brave enough to take the plunge, but after seeing the lovely blue you have painted the interior of Caxton, you have finally helped me make up my mind. Once I have painted the outside, the interior is in for a dramatic change! Thank you.

Goodness Sue, 'Barking Creek' sounds just sooo attractive and there is us having to cope with the horrors of the Great River Ouse: clear water, fantastic villages, lovely moorings hardly any traffic - It's a hard life out here!

Hi Debbie
We specified that we wanted painted panels when Caxton was built. Next summer we will probably have a change of colour - a pot of emulsion and everything will look different and refreshed.
