Insurance merry-go-round

Here we go again, Insurance, this time for Yarwood.  The usual dancing around the 0800 numbers, on-line form completion and quotes that get sent directly to a correspondance address...ye gods!!
I have quotes from Saga, Craftinsure and a couple of others, some don't want to know about liveaboards, some don't grasp Continuous cruisers, some do..
Any recommendations for Boat Insurers???

We've always come back to Towergate Mardon who offer a decent contents element top their policies.

Good luck!

Lesley,
I'll give you a recommendation when (I'm being positive) our insurer pays our claim!

Hi Bruce
TM wouldn't quote because we are liveaboards?? So how are you doing it?

How odd about TM. Our first couple of years were as Liveaboard, no problem. As Bruce says, they give a good contents on top.

That's weird! We use our daughters address for official purposes like the BW licence, and similarly for Insurance and the like. Towergate know we are/were CCs; we originally dealt via Michael Stimpson.

Cheers

I've been with TM for the last 6 years and yes they give a good contents policy on top. They 100% know we are live aboards and CC'rs.

We use Les' son's address for all offical business, including boat insurance renewal, etc.

Regarding 0800 numbers, try "0800 buster" on 01241 220800 & follow the instructions, which will be free on many tarrifs.
