Hopwas

We moved down from Fradley Junction today, seven and a bit miles to our mooring just north of Hopwas. We spent the afternoon gathering some wood which we will pick up tomorrow as we bring the boats pass our new stockpile. Unfortunately the sortie into the village to find the Post Office and shop was a waste of time as here is yet another village with NO shop at all; now had sad is that?

Hi Lesley
Apparently there is a shop and post office we were told. You may have looked on the wrong side of the canal like we did, completely opposite than where you would expect.

Is it F or F that's achieved celebrity status in Adam's review? Haven't seen the article yet but the sneaky pic on Adam's blog looks great.

Well you could have said your boat was 63feet! Have just peeked in your home/boat via the canal magazine and spotted this difference.

So I have managed to squeeze 28 downlights into a 58 foot boat which has 11 foot of front deck, 3 feet of back deck and 6 feet of engine room with room for only 2 of the lights because of the extra large hatch! Go figure.

Rob thinks squeezing 8 into the bedroom/office which is only 9 feet long was a tad excessive!

Look forward to seeing the boat in the flesh in due course. And of course your good selves.

Hi Derek and Dot
The Shop/Post office was on the opposite side of the canal from the main village but it is no more. Apparently the lady that ran it has thrown in the towel.

I still think you are right to have installed plenty of lights given you wanted BRIGHT and the only way to achieve that with the wonderful LED is to have plenty of them. We look forward to seeing Bobcat and you both in the future -this summer perhaps?

I think F&F have already got the D celeb status, whilst Joe and I languish in the wannabee world...

Now that you are all media stars, do we have to book an appointment for an audience? I thought F&F looked lovely in the photo...not sure about those humans though;-)

Great article from Adam and Caxton looked very handsome. And it's the first boat that's been reviewed where we've been intimate with the bedroom...
