Boat proud, £'s foolish...

Whilst we were are Gayton Junction after our trip up the Northampton arm, we watered, we filled with diesel, we dumped rubbish and we emptied cassettes - I also took advantage of the water supply and walked along the gunnels cleaning the gutter on Caxton's roof while hosing away the leaves and accumulated dust.  I noticed half way through this exercise that my trousers were a bit wet - read, soaked - and I also noticed that there was a 'puddle' in my jacket pocket.  The problem was that also in my jacket pocket with this 'puddle' was my camera...  So no photo's for a wee while.

If the camera was off at the time then don't turn it on, just leave it to dry out for at least 3 days, longer is safer. You might get lucky?

btw we enjoyed the river avon so if it is dry in October ...

Oh dear - we definitely need waterproof cameras - not underwater cameras - just ones that can survie the odd dunk in damp pocket, or in my case last year, the dog's water bowl!

The side-hatches look fab.

Ouch the 'joys' of boating. Join the club we've all done something similar.

Fingers crossed, the camera might have survived and if not...I get to buy another one but I will need to get to a large enough town to find a camera shop.
