Struck Down but fighting back

I have been fighting the effects of a  nasty virus over the last few days, spending much of the time in bed infact.  It looks as if the contents of the local pharmacy is beginning to have an affect now which means tomorrow we will be able to get  together will Graham and Jill to plan the trip to Braunston and beyond...  When at Braunston Caxton will be out of the water for close on two weeks while she is being stretched and we are thinking that we might recover our caravan, which has been abandoned in secure storage for the last year, and pitch it somewhere nearby.  That places us close at hand and we can observe the process, and the progress, which should be quite interesting I think.

Does a stretch really only take 2 weeks? I'm amazed - I though it would be months.

Hope you feel better soon - who says that cold weather kills all the bugs.....

Sorry to hear you're ill. I've been fighting off the same lurgy!
When you have Caxton stretched, you'll have room to insert an 'r' and name it Craxton, after the recently departed (and admired by me) artist, John Craxton. Just a thought ;-)
Hope you're better soon

Sorry to hear you are poorly.
I crossed the Coventry canal in a couple of places this afternoon and its still frozen solid, and no boats have made a passage as yet.
Get well soon.

Hi Lel,

Just wondering if perhaps you could get stretched at same time as boat, might make those top shelves in supermarket more accessable.

Glad to hear your drug taking is having some results,so hope your recovery is now complete.

Love Val x

Hi Sue
Reeves were going to do the stretch in 5 or 6 days!
Caxton should be dragged out, stripped, stretched and put back in in about 10 days but then we have to get the caravan back into storage and ourselves back on board. Not long though is it?

Hi Valerie Ann
There's nowt wrong with a short wide stature, it's stable. I've given up on the drugs though having found Brandy and Lovage - that warms the cockles and kills the germs!
