Where the Dickens...

After a day of being boat-bound because of the incessant rain we pulled pins this morning and shuffled along a couple of miles to Dickens Heath.  This is a  village that has been developed into a sort of neo-classical township!  Jill and Graham had moved up the day before so we were joining them and seeking the Tesco Express store and that is part of this development.  Shopping in and stored we had lunch and then I took the two dogs out exploring.
And look what we found!  Donks!!! You can just see Floyd's nose at the bottom of the picture as he greets the donkey.
 Is this my best side?
Heading back along the towpath towards the boat again.

Are you heading into Birmingham? I'm wondering if our paths might cross -- we're due to be going through Brum in a couple of weeks time.

Hi Debbie
I am not sure that the 'Donk' would agree because my cowardly dog was grumbling just a tad and I was telling him off...

Hi Adam
I think a path crossing exercise could be arranged. We are uncertain of our plans at present because Caxton is awaiting a visit from a joiner to discuss galley amends. We should hear from him today/tomorrow and then have a clearer idea of where we need to be. I will let you both know.

Hi Lesley
Our current plan is that we'll be at the Black County Museum moorings for the night of the 21st, and in the middle of Birmingham the following night. Then we're heading down the Farmer's Bridge locks and off to Fazeley and Fradley.
