Diversion...

Barbridge bridge no less
Spring has sprung

Working boats moored on the pub moorings at Barbridge

We left Barbridge on Tuesday morning on a wee diversion, we were heading for Aqueduct Marina at Church Minshull on the Middlewich branch of the Shroppie.  We had the offer of the use of a car and a berth in the marina for a couple of nights so we gladly accepted the opportunity this presented us.
Caxton turns on to the Middklewich branch
I had a very pleasant walk the 5 miles or so to the marina and only two locks to operate

Last lock completed,  I jumped back aboard Caxton for the entry into the marina which would not be accessable from the towpath side.
And why did we want a car? I'll tell you tomorrow.

Brilliant Photo's as usual, I enjoy looking at the Narrowbaots and the views along the canals, makes it feel as if we were there with you. Can't wait for the next installment........
