Shobnall marina/boat services on the T&M at Burton on trent allow you to stay aboard whilst blacking. They even supply power for you to use a small heater as you cannot use your stove whilst in the dock.
You go in Friday PM they drain down and they jetwash the boat bottom then leave you friday night sat and Sun to do as many coats as poss.
Hi Both, There is a covered dry dock which allows (as far as we are aware)you to stay on board at our marina at Crick, check it out, have a good christmas Kev & Ann (nb 4evermoore)
Streethay (on the Coventry) has a covered slip and plenty of owners stay on their boats while having them blacked or doing diy blacking. It's pretty busy but might be worth a call 01543 414808.
MGM at Thurmaston, where we are having Chance built has a dry dock/ ramp to bring the boat out, they would certainly let you stay on it whilst it is out of the water.

We lived aboard when we blacked NB Bendigedig at the BW Ellesmere Dry dock on the Llangollen Canal. Hired a petrol pressure washer and step up to change 110 power in dry dock to 230 AC so we could use heater and keep batteries charged.

Try Caggy's yard in Brum - we stayed on board the Duck while we blacked it a couple of years ago.
Stourport on Severn has a dry covered dock.

Sherborne Wharf have just leased and refurbished the old Hockley Port dry dock - they are looking for custom - have you tried them?

We use Caggy's at Tipton on the New Main Line about 1/2 mile below the locks.
They will do a pressure wash and black it for you, or just the pressure wash if you want to black it yourselves.
We lived aboard and plugged into the electric while we blacked our own bottom.
It's not completely covered, which helps the drying between coats, but it can be a little draughty.

Braunston bottom lock do a weekend DIY deal where you can live aboard. Debdale do a lift out.
Canal cruising at Stone are very accommodating.
