I thought I would take advantage of the good signal strength on 3 to load some photo's taken over the last few days.

This is the R.Soar as it enters Barrow-upon-Soar.
The Weir stream that takes the River on is route below the town whilst the canal continues through the town to the Barrow Deep Lock where River and canal are reunited.

Cruising the Soar on our way into Barrow.

The Waterside Inn at Mountsorrel where we treated ourselves to lunch on Thursday.

Moored at Mountsorrell, no time to waste so the boats gets a quick wash.

Weir stream at Sileby Mill.

Sileby Mill from the lock looked at the weir stream crossing the navigation. It was full power out of this lock to cross the flow...

Wow! That looks a bit fierce! One wonders how the original horse boaters tackled such conditions (and worse, I have no doubt).
